Walsall Arboretum is a historic, Victorian public park with formal gardens, children’s play area, lido and outdoor fitness trail. It is located very close to Walsall town centre in the West Midlands. The Arboretum has an area of over 80 acres. It comprises of a number of distinct areas like a boating lake, open playing fields, a club house, and a splash pad. The park is also home to over 10,000 species of trees and shrubs. The park used to have illuminations (candles were placed in coloured jars) which had become a tourist attraction. It surely was a lovely site. They don’t have that anymore but it’s a magnificent park for walking, cycling or even just a lazy day, laying on the lawn.
