Wanna kayak with seals? This tour allows you to fulfil this wish. The Pelican Point Kayaking Tour gives you the opportunity to kayak among a permanent seal colony at the tip of the Pelican Point Peninsula about 35kms outside of Walvis Bay. The tour starts quite early in the morning where you’d meet your instructor. A scenic drive is next along the Lagoon and the salt mines. You can spot numerous types of birds during this tour like flamingos, pelicans and cormorants. They provide you with waterproof clothing when it’s time to go kayaking. The views are absolutely stunning. The shore is dotted with seals and the cool, crisp breeze is in your hair. This scene makes the landscape look gorgeous.

  • We booked a combo tour (kayaking and sandwich harbour) and are very pleased with the first part of the tour. It was nice to peddle around all those seals, in the misty environment. But for the second part of our tour, we could not shake off the impression that they just wanted to make a lot of money, as quick as possible. The ‘4x4’ was actually a ‘4x4-minivan’ with seats for 5 people, but we had to share it with six; you can figure how comfortable that was.... There was something wrong with the exhaust as well because fumes got into the vehicle, making the ride just nauseating. To conclude: the first part is nice, but I would not recommend doing the second part in a car like this, especially not for the price payed.

  • Fantastic experience, kayaking between seals.

  • Awesome experience a must do

  • Awesome📷🙂

  • The kayaking here was excellent. Thousands of seals at Pelican Point and the ones in the water are super playful and will follow you around in the water and nibble the blades of the paddles. Surreal and recommended! The drive there is great too, with 4x4 driving over the sands where we saw black backed jackals, flamingos and pelicans
