  • Loved the walk, it was a bit steep at first but gradually evens out into an easier ascent. It took around one and a half hours to complete the loop but it would have been nice to do it slower as the views were beautiful. There is a nice "compass" type sundial at the top with the names, and directions, or other peaks etc on it which I thought was really cool :). Might be slippery in the wet so maybe check the weather before heading out!

  • Awesome place to have a walk up the mountain, plus you can bring your dog.

  • Wonderful Experience... We see many Joggers and Pet Walkers... Viewpoint of Wanaka

  • Great trail. A little steep in places but very manageable. Lots of different ways to come up the mountain so you can choose steep side (20 mins) or walk around the base and take approx 40 mins. Well worth the views. Highly recommended.

  • This hike was ok. 45 min up. 45 min down. Very dusty in January.... and of course the view was pretty dry most of the way. No water filling options on the way. About 5 km for the whole round.
