In the city of Taipei, there are a lot of interesting tourist spots and Dadaocheng Cisheng Temple is certainly one of them. It is a pretty old temple and you will find the whole of the temple complex neatly decorated and peaceful. This countryside temple looks stunning with a lot of open spaces. Visiting this temple, you will get an old charm and the place of worship carries a classic as well as traditional look also. The Dadaocheng Cisheng Temple is popular for being located at a spot that always bustles with a lot of food stalls.

  • Good selection of food. Quite a bit of crowd coming towards lunch hour but waiting time is still reasonable. Try the pork chops here, it's really good. The crown jewel for me is the fried rice. It's simple but tasty, and the little anchovies gives it a rich fragrance in every bite. It's right outside a Mazu temple, so once your tummy is filled, do go in and pray for good fortune.

  • Original taiwan flavor.

  • Small temple with seating for chinese opera in the front.

  • Came here for the food as I read on a travel guide, it was quite a walk but the food and the atmosphere is worth it. Expect around 50-100TWD for a dish and these are really what the locals eat daily. If you want the local taste try the fried oyster (柯仔炸)and pig blood soup (豬血湯)--you won't regret it.

  • You could visit ancient temple which was built in Ching Dynasty, and enjoy traditional Taiwanese food at one place.
