Nikon At Jones Beach Theatre Reviews & Ratings

  • I love seeing concerts here. The view outdoors is fabulous, add in the moonlight glistening on the water and it's more spectacular. Now, add that the Who played an incredible performance and I am in heaven (so were my seats for that matter). They had portions of the concert with an orchestral backup (yes, live, not recorded), there were acoustical pieces (and you could hear amazing quality of Pete Townshend's guitar over the sound system), and of course there was some extraordinary rock. They have such an incredible repertoire to choose from and they did. Also, as they really seemed to enjoy performing last night, whether it was the venue itself, the weather, its NY, or whatever, the show was amazing. I am so grateful to have been there.

  • I love this venue for being outdoors and for being clean, close to the beach, and having dope staff. Shout out to the Live Nation staff for being awesome and on point. Parking is cheap-only $10 to park and free after 4pm which isn't bad. Now to the complaint: they have some sort of designated beer stand. Basically, you have to get a wrist band, go into the designated beer area, purchase and drink your beer there-you cannot bring your beer to your seat. They check to make sure you have no beers on you as you are leaving this designated area. This is really inconvenient and silly considering they are basically babysitting you when it comes to your drinking and you can't enjoy a beer while watching who you paid to see. I get that there are safety risks involved when it comes to drinking but that is what SECURITY is there for. To have people spend $16 on a beer and sometimes hundreds on tickets and not be able to drink your beer in your seat is just ridiculous in my opinion. Besides that, the sound is good there and I like that they have two large screens on either side of the stage for everyone to be able to see no matter where you are sitting or standing. Concession prices are high but that's everywhere in New York. The bathrooms are actually very clean which I was impressed by. Word of advice, BRING BUG SPRAY. You're outdoors on the water and you will get eaten alive so BEWARE.

  • I flew up from Dallas, Texas, to see the kick off of the 2019 Smashing Pumpkins tour! Driving onto the grounds, everything is very organized, and security is everywhere! Fans were tailgating, speakers blaring great tunes, and people sharing some puff-puff-give! 😉😎 Inside the theater grounds, there are ATM's, plenty of places to purchase booze (beer&liquor). VIP areas have better food, tables with active waitstaff. Don't forget to tip great! Bathroom ques are long as, one could expect. As for the scenery, I was on the 18 row, front and center--the sound quality/audio engineering was superb!!! Lighting was over the top cool and then you have the ocean backdrop! It's a majestic events grounds! I love Jones Beach Theater! One more thing, the staff there are very helpful, they're not difficult, nor are they A-holes. Cheers!

  • Where to start.. CHAOS .. that’s It Depending on the show you’re attending.. Bring your patience.. From the parking situation, good luck finding a spot. Tailgaters , rather than parking head first, take up entire spots while they wine n dine( we tailgate without obstructing several parking spaces). So there’s that. Beach police make their rounds, but seem to be oblivious as to the goings on.. Other than the usual “ security “ check as you enter, and 2 men in full military gear. It’s laughable. This stadium seats about 15,000 Once inside, there’s VIP, lounging area, all sorts of spirits( $30.00 for dbl )food , a huge screen to view concert , in this area there are restroom facilities, I’ll reserve all comment on this one. The concert seating itself is massive, Bars and bathrooms on most tiers. There are facilities for the handicap. There’s the salt water, ocean breeze ( can get cool)and the vibe of the music...mesmerizing Leaving this venue, well , proceed with caution It has become one of our least favorite music venues.. Given the climate in which we live in today. There’s so much room for improvement

  • Amazing show. Saw Train and the Goo Goo dolls. . They have really upped the security there.. Which is fine with me during This day and age.. The show was great, Concessions Were great, Add easy parking, And surprisingly it did not take long to leave the parking lot. Jones beach amphitheater is one of the best places on Long Island, An absolute must every summer and they do an outstanding job keeping the Place clean safe and full of awesome concerts
