Dating back to the 11th century, Ramappa Temple is a true example of the Heritage of India. Built-in reddish sandstone and black basalt, this temple is a spectacular piece of study for the connoisseurs of architecture. The roof is built in bricks. The pillars of the temple are intricately carved and showcase fine craftsmanship. The pillars are adorned with carved statues of dancers, musicians, as well as mythical animals. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva - a highly regarded Hindu deity in India. The temple is raised on 6 feet high platform which is star-shaped. On either side of the temple, there are two small Shiva shrines that are equally well-constructed. The giant statue of Nandi in front of the Shiva shrine gives you a glimpse of the true grandeur of this majestic place. A fabulous place to witness the historic architectural achievements of India, this is a must visit temple when you are in the Palampet village of Telangana, India.

Super..... It was The ancient temple and architecture was so nice. We feel very happy to visit Ramappa temple with my friends and students.
Fine architecture! It's a Shiva Temple. Fun fact is that this temple was nominated to be included in the United Nations World Heritage Site list. However, it didn't make it to the list. Telangana government should do more to preserve thee beauty of this place. Probably develop it as a tourism spot.
