Beautiful location for a sunset walk.. we even ventured down the dam to discover a small creek, the electricity generator and some wild turkeys.. was a lot of fun
Beautiful scenery! Bicycled around and enjoyed it, but wasn't sure where the trails were. Be sure to go by the Visitor's center first, not last, like we did to get a map or two...we didn't see any signs for a Visitor's Center, just happened to find it. We'll be back for sure, and be more prepared.
Fantastic place to gaze out on the views and walk around and explore. We just love going there. Beautiful place.
I just love it here. It's my zen. SO peaceful and beautiful. Go there before sunset and watch the clouds, lakes, and islands on top. I wish that they change the windows on top floor of the tower and keep it open a little bit after sunset so people can enjoy the sunset there. I understand it is hard to evacuate the park after dark, but it is so sad to miss the sunset in fear of getting locked in the park or honked by the angry park guard. They keep the whole park very neat. I absolutely love it. I should check out the fall down the road next time that I'm going there.
Great short little road stop, cool views. Recommend if your passing by, might be other cool things to do around the reservoir too.
