Martinsburg Roundhouse Center Reviews & Ratings
Historical venue now after being closed by the railroad. Tour the roundhouse with operable turntable and see displays of some of the tools & equipment formally used there. Read informative displays about the shops. Also discover some civil war era history of raids and conflict for control of the rails during that period. Be sure to Google maps for easiest route through town.
Always neat to see!! Wish they would do more events here and also try and save more of the structures... interesting piece of History though!!
I went here for an arts and crafts show over the weekend. It was fairly sparsely populated, but several local artists had some very nice things. Did not do the Roundhouse tour.
We found this railroad gem when searching for something fun in Martinsburg. The tour was great, very informative but the tour guide also tailored it to the kids. We highly recommend a visit for young and old rail fans.
Very interesting history and architecture. Tour guide was a volunteet who obviously loves sharing his knowledge of the site and area. Well worth a visit.
