During the Second World War and Germany’s occupation of Poland, you’d have given pretty much anything to not to be able to visit this place. This place used to be the actual Gestapo detainment and interrogation (read torture) offices. The museum is small, interactive and a pretty powerful experience.

Start with the introductory movie and the move on down the exhibits. It’s mostly all videos, but they are so intelligently arranged that you’ll feel like you’re actually in the 1940’s. Most of the place has been left untouched since the war so you’re seeing things as they actually were. The exhibits mostly focus on the torture and the killing Poles had to suffer within these walls.
