Bureau Of Engraving And Printing Reviews & Ratings

  • Flat 30 min tour with guy reading from cue cards in a monotone way. Philadelphia's mint is much better. Free tickets available. I went in August and got tickets for 9h15a.m. tour. When I left at 9:45, people were able to get tickets for the 10am tour. In not sure about the rush to go early. Go through security about 15 minutes before tour, explore the gallery and boutique before going to start the tour. The tour is stopping in front of four windows. Done in 30 minutes. All you see are large printers. Not worth the time.

  • Fun tour to see the making of printed bills. Tour with a guide, no head sets as described in previous reviews. Short and sweet... 30 min. Wish I could have stayed longer.

  • This may be interesting but the way they manage the line is terrible. You show up and they say the next tour is at 12:15. But if you are the 41st person in line it might another 30 to 45 minutes. Which they fail mention. b than this!

  • Nice that there is a free tour, but the guides don't really talk, you're listening to a prerecorded audio. Everyone seems to be bored. Could definitely use some livening up! Really fun to see money being made though!

  • Very interesting subject but poorly executed public interaction. Tour is hit or miss depending upon workers interaction/activity from the floor. Interactive exhibits, time to view materials passed on the tour, or moving those to the lobby would help.
