Our guidebook said the embassy still offers brief (15 min) tours of what used to be Evalyn Walsh McLean's mansion. I don't hold the Embassy responsible for mis- information, but the man we asked about it was incredibly rude "If I was in another country, do you think I could just go into you embassy?"
