John Ericsson National Memorial Reviews & Ratings
This monument and memorial is hidden in the highway, and is overshadowed by the more famous memorials. But John Ericsson was impressive as a Swedish born American who invented the ship propeller, armored turret warships, steam locomotives and more. Definitely worth the stop if you’re waking through the tidal basin.
A neat bit of military history. Nice to see from the water on your way down the channel.
It it located in a roundabout so you will have to cross a busy street. It is a beautiful statue.
Very clean, nice enviroment to walk around. Food near this location.
Great circle monument to John Ericsson. Not encouraged to get out of your car and walk up to it. Busy street and traffic circle. Good photo op.
