  • This monument and memorial is hidden in the highway, and is overshadowed by the more famous memorials. But John Ericsson was impressive as a Swedish born American who invented the ship propeller, armored turret warships, steam locomotives and more. Definitely worth the stop if you’re waking through the tidal basin.

  • A neat bit of military history. Nice to see from the water on your way down the channel.

  • It it located in a roundabout so you will have to cross a busy street. It is a beautiful statue.

  • Very clean, nice enviroment to walk around. Food near this location.

  • Great circle monument to John Ericsson. Not encouraged to get out of your car and walk up to it. Busy street and traffic circle. Good photo op.
