National Theatre Reviews & Ratings
I love the staff here! When we accidentally bought tickets for the wrong night they didn't miss a beat. The box office smiled and found us wonderful seats for the show. Thank you for making our evening seamless despite ourselves!
We really enjoyed seeing Mike Birbiglia's comedy show at the National Theatre! It was an easy drive down from Baltimore and there were plenty of parking garages within walking distance. Even the seats at the far ends of each row had a clear view of the stage.
Love this venue. Have seen many productions here my entire life. The theatre is clean, comfortable and classy. Access to this theatre and parking is convenient.
A fine old theater that gets some big names and occasional new shows, but most of what comes through here is touring companies of Broadway shows. Do yourself a favor: Instead of these big, overpriced touring shows, go visit one of DC's MANY incredible local theaters that produce spectacular productions in more intimate venues at a fraction of the cost. Check out TheaterWashington to see what's playing in town.
Beautiful old theater just blocks from the White House. The seats are unusually large for the age of the theater, providing more comfort than the seats of its counterparts. Like any theater, the experience is influenced by the show. However, this theater"s downtown Washington, DC location has features like proximity to restaurants and public transportation readily available. When purchasing tickets, patrons should be aware that the restrooms and bar are on the second floor.
