Renwick Gallery Reviews & Ratings

  • Our experience at the Renwick gallery was great. It is a fun little art gallery with a variety of displays and styles of art. It looks small from the outside, but we spent an hour and a half inside and could have spent more time if we read everything more closely. One of the coolest parts is the large room on the second floor with a rotating display. I’ve seen it twice, and love how different it has been each time. Would definitely recommend as a stop during any DC tourist experience, or as a fun date spot for locals.

  • Great art museum. Although the art on the first floor is super interesting and unique, for me, the best part is the second floor temple from Burning Man, the paper growing mushrooms, and the room with the resonant bells. It's a highly calming place in the center of busy DC. Definitely go there if you have a chance!

  • This is a great museum. The exhibits rotate so it's always good to come back. It very nice inside and the staff is great very patient and knowledgeable about things in the museum and other things in the city. It's not too big but I'd say three hours is adequate to explore the whole thing.

  • Beautiful museum! There’s 2 levels with around ~half of each floor containing special exhibitions. Definitely check what’s on before heading there! It was pretty spacious—even on a Saturday—so it was nice to go there with a few people. Would definitely recommend as a free museum to stop by during a DC trip.

  • Quaint building tucked into a bustling road. I find the serenity of the top floor self-centering. Thoughtful exhibitions. Parking very onerous. Best to use alternative transport.
