Rose's Luxury is a restaurant on Barracks Row in Washington, D.C, created by chef-owner Aaron Silverman. In 2014 Bon Appétit rated it as 'the best new restaurant in America'. It is known for not taking reservations which creates long lines, such that a nearby bar's top cocktail is called 'Waiting for Rose’s' and linewaiters are reported to make up to thirty dollars an hour waiting in line. President Barack Obama celebrated his 54th birthday at Rose's, after the First Lady previously ate at the restaurant in February. Chef Aaron Silverman has prior experience at Momofuku (restaurants) and opened a fine dining restaurant next door to Rose's Luxury named Pineapple and Pearls in 2016. Silverman has been the subject of a profile in the Washington Post, which characterized his work as mastery of 'the art of serious play',Wikipedia

Incredibly unique food. My friend came and got in line at 4 to get us a time for dinner. FYI- they don’t take reservations, first come first serve. But, they do text you when the table in front of you gets their check, and there’s so much to do in the area it’s not too bad. It feels very much like an exclusive club. Not somewhere I’d frequent (I’m more into convenience), but definitely a place for something special or unique.
This establishment is in the top three restaurants in downtown Washington DC. There service is the best , bar none. Our server took much time walking us through their menu, she was so nice and patient, even as particular with what we eat, the young lady assured us that there would be no cross contamination. Thanks much for affording my wife and I a wonderful anniversary dinner. Kudos to our servers..,,#ROSE’sLUXURY.
Do not believe the "first come first served" policy. People show up when they open, put their name down, leave, and come back for their 8 o'clock dinner. Better yet, some people will use Favor to get other people to reserve a table for them. Arrived around 7:30 on a Monday for dinner for 2. They were booked till 10pm even though there were only 2 people waiting for a table. Didn't know how else to inform people of this issue other than to write a review. Management should either A) change up their process or B) accept reservations, because right now it's just a facade. Expected better organization from a Michelin rated restaurant. Gave 4 stars so as not to screw up the restaurant's rating. Hopefully one day I'll actually be able to eat dinner there.
Had a fantastic date night at Rose's Luxury. Had to go twice because the wait was 2+ hours. I can see why. The pasta was freshly made and scrumptious. The drinks were luxurious and fairly priced. Service was attentive and professional. This will be a normal date night from now on!
Where's their Michelin star!!! Oh. Just been told they have one. Well deserved indeed. How many reasons did we love this place!! The menu was short but just divine. Unusual combinations that work so very well. The staff warm and charming. Fine dining at fantastic prices with perfect sized portion. Could not recommend more highly. Arrive early ( I mean 5.30pm early!) for a table in an hour or two but it's more than worth it. Way more.
