  • What a beautiful opportunity to worship with other Orthodox Christians in the city. The liturgy was beautiful as expected. At the time of our visit, the wheelchair ramp was under construction. Entry and exit from the church was not marked. When I asked parishioners, only the Theia in the wheelchair knew. This is not the most welcoming church to visitors, no greeters. No one looked at us during coffee hour. But that is not why we attended. We were glad to have the chance to see this magnificent space and share in the worship.

  • Beautiful church, very friendly clergy, staff, and congregation. Don't miss the annual Greek Festival where the food is amazing and there is always a great selection of gifts and handcrafts available for sale. There are also free tours of the church offered during the festival and the guides are super helpful in pointing out the unique features of the church. A beautiful building, not to be missed!!

  • Byzantine hymns will raise your spirit to heaven under the magnificent dome of Jesus Christ surrounded by the vision of Isaiah. Looking forward, you will see the All Holy Virgin Mary inviting you into her embrace as she offers you her Son. Come for Orthodox Easter to receive the Holy Light. Stay and become part of our community. There are activities for the community specialized to each age and stage of life. Come celebrate Life!

  • I attend the Greek festival here every year. It's not the biggest such festival but is always my favorite. The food here, whether the pita sandwiches outside, or the bigger meals and entres inside are always authentic and fabulous. Most years, including this one, beer and wine is available. Don't forget to pick up some greek pastries or a baklava sundae before leaving. You won't be disappointed. There are periodic tours of the sanctuary, in case you've never seen the inside of this beautiful and historic church. Street parking only but not usually to difficult to find it.

  • Magnificent and Splendid Greek Orthodox Byzantine cathedral in the nation's capital! A living Monument the Greek American Experience! The building structure and the interior spaces are truly Sublime!
