  • One of my favorite museums in Washington. You actually feel like you are in a collectors house - because you are. Really nice cozy museum with very impressive pieces of work.

  • Fantastic museum, worth the price of admission. Tucked into a cute street off DuPont Circle, with a permanent collection that is out of this world, as well as rotating installations and contemporary work. Great staff as well, and the gift shop is a delight.

  • As a Washingtons with access to so much art, history, and culture around for free it's way too easy to take it all for granted. Come to Phillips collection to break out of that! Note that if you see a special exhibition there is a fee. It's a perfect size for a museum you can see in its entirety, without getting overwhelmed. And yet leaves you instantly wanting to come back. Cute coffee shop with a lovely, large outdoor area too could be a nice place to catch up or an inspiring environment to get some work done.

  • A wonderful place with thought provoking exhibits and a helpful staff who is happy to help explain or discuss exhibits. Worth the money to go.

  • The collection is interesting and diverse, and they arrange it so different worlds are responsible to each other instead of isolated by time or genre. The footprint of the museum is small enough that you can see a good portion in one day.
