About Reginald's Tower, Waterford
A local landmark and the oldest civic building in Ireland, Reginald’s dates back to around 800 years. The site of the tower originally housed the first tower built by Vikings after 914 which also served as the apex to the area today popular as Viking triangle.
The tower was rebuilt by the Anglo Normans in 12th century with further refurbishments in the 15th century. A strongpoint and centre of defence, the tower is one of the most prominent landmarks of the city.
Home to exhibition on Viking Waterford, this place deserves a visit!
