Do not go to Carroll if you are a minority, if you care about politics, or if you value diversity/ inlcusion. This school is almost all white upper class Christians and the culture here reflects that. Racism goes without notice or punishment, there is zero political activity on campus, and the clubs centered on diversity have very few members. Also happens to be in one of the most conservative cities in the state. Education is fine. If you are a not any form of minority and don’t care about activism you might be fine here.
This college is not for everyone. While professors could be very approachable and responsive, administration is certainly not. Just dealing with the administration during the enrollment process made me want to pull my hair out. I found that administration in public schools are a lot more pleasant to deal with. I honestly think, this school simply doesn't care about transfer students and some people are a bit stuck up and not always competent.
I can honestly say transferring here was the biggest mistake of my life, they do not accommodate students and simply give them the runaround. The advisors usually know less than the students and the programs are no where near as challenging or rewarding as St. Norbert. I would not advise attending here unless you enjoy vague information and loopholes.
Love this University... historic buildings. Feels a bit "cosy". Takes great interest in making students feel at home. Continues to make improvements to facilities. Expensive, but worth it if avoiding the big state schools.
Nice place and great teacher in training program.
