Recreation areas and public spaces are important for the overall social development of a locality. Additionally, they also enable newcomers to the town to socialize and help them settle down. At Chase Park, community building is strongly encouraged, and the Chase Park Playground Cleanup is one such example of community development activity. The park features picnic tables and play areas for leisure activities. Additionally, swimming and boating at Horace lake will give you a chance to interact with the locals and other tourists. A visit to this park will help you make new friends and brighten up your day.

Chase Park Reviews & Ratings
Nice, clean, warm and shallow lake with natural springs. There are two parts to the swim area; one side has no sandy beach but is shaded by a few big trees and is generally regarded as the quiet side. Plant a chair in the water and hang out in the shade if that’s your thing. The other side has a nice sandy beach and this is generally the side you want to bring your children as there is always others to play. Plenty of parking for all size vehicles and extra large parking for long trucks and boat trailers. There is a nice boat/small watercraft launch right inside the park entrance for convenience. cost is $10 for the season for parking pass and $2 for each additional vehicle.
When we need a dip in a lake we come here. Bathrooms/changing areas are usually clean. There is a boat launch. If you have kayaks you can park fairly close to the water. There are picnic tables. Two swimming areas. Their price jumped to $20 per car for non-residents no matter how late you come which is why I didn't give it more stars.
We come here occasionally as we live on the lake, the lake itself is very clean and fantastic swimming as it warms up quickly in season. The beach itself is clean and good sand but it is PACKED during the summer no matter what day or time and there really isn't enough beach space for as many people as parking allows. It's also pay per day or buy a seasons pass even if you are a Weare resident which still allows for first come first serve parking during the summer so you may or may not get in. Additionally your parking and boat passes are separate which will run about $30 total. They also require each vehicle having its own sticker rather than sharing which will cost you another $2. Boat passes are $20 for residents even if you live on the lake and need to use the public launch to get your boat to your home. All around it's an ok park but will add up money wise quickly. The park is also only equipped with a port-o-potty.
Beautiful lake with clean beaches and friendly staff.
