Schloss Homburg Reviews & Ratings
The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park. Pay 2 euro (per person) to climb up the tower and see the city from above. The castle museum shop is small but they have some beautiful glass items and there is a pleasant cafe where you can enjoy a light meal or drinks and relax. We felt like most tourists that visit here are Germans and people were surprised to hear we came there all the way from the US. Gave it more of an authentic feel for us.
Nice exhibition of the apartment of the English princes Elizabeth after her husband died. Tour takes about 45 min and the guide paints a nice picture of the era.
This is such a beautiful medieval castle. It's preserved in all its original form. And with all the nice little old houses around the whole village is a medical town. Wondering around you feel yourself drifting into the wonderful historical times. Also houses awesome restaurants around the castle. Highly recommended.
The scloss cafe has vegan and gluten free cake. Brilliant for my wife and tasty too.
Incredibly beautiful surroundings, a great cafe - highly recommend a visit :)
