Situated on the stunning Wellington waterfront, the Frank Kitts Park is a must visit if you are in town with family and kids. Completed in the late 1980s, Frank Kitts Park was one of the first areas of the waterfront to be developed. The park has a play area for children including a slide in the form of a lighthouse, amphitheatre style seating area and also has interesting sculpture pieces like the Albatross sculpture, the Fruits of the Garden sculpture and the Water Whirler sculpture. Every Saturday, the park hosts the Wellington Underground Market.
