Park Hotel Lambton Quay, Wellington Reviews
Very good location, convenient room size and equipped with all the tools required. Staff is very helpful. The breakfast at their restaurant "Sterling" is excellent. Located near the train station and the ferry as well as the main city attractions.
A new and modern hotel. Service is friendly and the hotel well organized/run. I stayed in three different rooms during my stay and all were the same in quality - high. The only criticism I have is minor - there is next to no storage for personal bathroom items, storage for clothes is limited to hanger space only in the last room I stayed and the TV size in the last room I stayed in was a bit too small to watch movies, but adequate if all you wanted was to watch the news or shows. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, but you also pay a pretty penny for that. The wine list showcased some very nice examples from NZ regions, but again you can expect to pay top dollar for that. All up, a very good hotel to stay for a day or two, but if you stay longer, be sure to ask for a room with storage for your clothes unless you want to live out of a suitcase.
We had a booking 21/09/2018. When I went to the counter to check in the lady at the front desk ignored me and then 5mins later she called me to check in she seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Then we were given an access card that was broken therefore didn’t work so we took it back. Then we got to the room and there was a queen size bed when we had book 2 singles. So I rang reception and complained. They said they could sort it out when we had gone out I said we will be going out in 30mins. 5mins later two staff arrived which was awkward as we were trying to get ready and I tried to get them to come back as they weren’t listening.... we also did not the get the gym passes which came with the hotel booking that we asked for. They also take an extra $100 deposit on top of your payment which they do not advise till you get there. I regularly stay in Wellington but would not stay here again.
Nice big room. Lovely helpful staff. Primo breakfast included
The room was really nice as were the staff but I have to say for a 6 person room the bathroom was far too small and needed a window. also the rubbish bin for that many people was too small But over all i really liked it and will stay there again
