Come and experience one of the finest examples of a deep gorge in the eastern United States when you visit the Pine Creek Gorge in Pennsylvania. The iconic gorge has served as the major route of travel for the American Indians and was used as a major source of lumber production. The gorge that is also referred to as the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania offers spectacular views of the glacially carved canyon. The rainbow of different hues of the hard-deciduous forests that display the autumn colours of green, orange, red and purple instantly drive you into the mode of a nature lover, where you can experience nothing but awe for the sight that you behold.

Pine Creek Gorge Reviews & Ratings
Me and my two sons did a 6 mile hike. It was so nice with many trails. This is a beautiful place to visit. I just wish there were more views from the top but with the leaves there aren't many from where we hiked. However, we all had fun and that's all that matters! It was so peaceful and the trails we went on were challenging. A great workout in a beautiful location!!
Beautiful place. I hiked it from south to north, and if I were to do it again I would recommend going from the north, hiking south bout 4 miles, and hiking back so that you see the prettiest part. The southern part is nice but you can skip it if you just want to see the highlights.
If you enjoy breathtaking views of the great outdoors, this is certainly a place to visit. Visitors center gets rather busy on holiday weekends. If you enjoy a strenuous hike, there is a path to hike down to the bottom of the gorge. Well worth the effort !!
We drove 5 hours to visit this place. Worth it. You can do a lots of activities. A lot of different spots for camping, boatinng, hiking. It is the home of rattlesnak, so be cautious. We did not see a rattlesnake but we definitely saw another snake (do not know the name) close to us. Also I believe we saw leopard slug.
Scenic pine creek trail , crushed limestone , light grade traveling north .
