1. Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre

If you are fond of plays in theaters, this is the place you can’t resist to go to. Sitting with your partner holding his/her hands in a romantic play is all you need for a mesmerizing evening. You can watch the different types of plays like the youth shows, dramas, comedies and musicals played in one of the theatres in the Island Park that falls towards the south of downtown.

2. Trollwood performing arts school

If you are planning for a summer holiday to Fargo with your children, this is the place you shouldn’t miss. Trollwood Performing Arts School is a unique summer theatre committed to provide art program where students in all age-groups can take part. Trollwood's youth programs include 12 annual arts education, youth leadership and performance programs among which the most notable performance is the Broadway musical, in which audience of around 2,500 is served at the outdoor stages. The campus consists of the river views, grassy meadows, woods, and wildlife.

3. Fargo Theatre

4. Fargo Air Museum

This museum has an aircraft collection ranging from the most exact recreation of Wright Brothers plane to the unmanned modern planes like the Global Hawk. Other collections include P-51 Mustang, Corsair, TBM Avenger, L Birds, PT-19 Fairchild, Pitts Special, Duggy - "the Smile in the Sky" airplane, Ag Cat and more.

5. Bonanzaville

This Museum can be described as a smorgasbord of history. All the buildings here are the actual historical buildings beginning from the first building in West Fargo having the train depots, cars, farm equipment, airplanes, clothes, churches, schools etc. On top of that, there are exhibits going very in-depth about the history of a certain area you will also find the replicas of the brothels of 1800s and 1900s West Fargo.

6. Hjemkomst Centre

Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center is a cultural heritage center situated in Moorhead near Fargo City. Every tourist in the Fargo City must take out some time to visit this heritage center which will help them knowing a lot about the city and its culture. The meaning of Hjemkomst is a Norwegian word that means “Home Coming”. It consists of a replica of the Gokstad Viking Ship, which is a Viking ship that was discovered by the government of Norway in 1880. This center was built by Robert Asp, who was a guidance counselor in a local school in the 1970s.

7. The Children's Museum

One of the best places in Fargo City for children is this children’s museum that has been built in the center of the Fargo city. The best thing about this museum is that in spite of being in the middle of the city, you would never feel like you are in the city. The museum is well equipped with fun-filled activities like milking a cow, imagination play, painting, music etc. The place is like a paradise for the children between the age of 3 to 7. 8. Plains Art Museum

Plains Art Museum is a large museum with an exhibit of modern art in different forms. Apart from modern art, you will find good local art as well. They have a full room of permanent collection and there is a lot of Dakota art that you would not see elsewhere. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and you find the art on the display is everchanging. You will be blown away by the collection of contemporary art, mostly by Plains artists.

9. Red River Zoo

The zoo is not very big, but you will find great attractions there. The staff here do a lot to keep the zoo updated and fresh. You will find kid areas that are generally missing in large zoos. You will find Wolves, Otters, Eagles, Camels, Chinese Red Pandas, Meerkats and many more.

10. West Fargo Outdoor Skate Park

If you like skateboarding, rollerblader and a biking, then this place is meant for you. Located at Dike West, this 23,000 square foot facility contains the challenges for the beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes the park is open for free to the public from dusk to dawn. 

11. Newman Outdoor Field

Newman Outdoor Field is a baseball stadium located on the campus of NSDU and is home to the FM RedHawks, an independent minor league baseball team. It is a very popular destination for people of all ages. 

12. North Dakota Horse Park

Try out some luxury sports close to the heart of West Fargo in the ND Horse Park. You can wear a dashing hat and cheer for the ponies on which you have placed a bet. 

13. Fargo Country Club

Founded in 1898, the club is a historic place in the Fargo city and has seen a lot of big events. This club is credited for opening the first 18-hole golf course in the whole Dakota.
