Overview of Ohio Caverns
Ohio Caverns are underwater caves perfect to visit for nature explorers. The place is covered with stalagmites and stalactites and is truly a nature’s wonder. It is one of the largest cave systems in Ohio and once housed an underground river of melted glacier water. The river, however, is now unseen, since it’s water dropped below the ground level. The fascinating caves have many rooms packed with various formations of different colors. The staff is well-informed who give you a guided tour about how the caverns were discovered back in 1897 by Robert Noffsinger. Ohio Caverns is a perfect place to visit to satisfy the curious wanderer in you.

Ohio Caverns Reviews & Ratings
This was a nice place. 2 tour guides was leading the way. One at the back of the line so no one gets behind and one at the front giving good information about the cave. There are a couple nice waterfalls along the way and nice large stalactites and stalagmites that are very nice to see. Many awesome views and they offer picture taking with your friends and family with a small price. It's worth taking a look if your up for the adventure.
My sons loved visiting here and we will definitely be doing it again soon. The gift shop is fun with lots of different things to check out and displays. The tour of the cavern is amazing though. There are a few areas that are just breathtakingly beautiful.
We drove 3 hours to visit and see the caverns. We went on the natural wonders tour, only had to wait about 5 minutes before going on the tour. The tour was an hour long, it was kind of short for how long we drove to get there (maybe combo tour is better choice). I wouldn't personally drive that far again to go there, but I think it would be a great experience of your nearby. I'm sure there are other things to do in the area. The staff and tour guide were great, I would definitely recommend going!
Amazing!!! Wonderful experience in the cave. Worth the money paid for the ticket. It’s purely different feeling to be in the cave and sell all the rock formation for years. No videos are allowed but photography can be done. It’s been run by private company and the tour guide was soft and with more information. One has to take care not to touch any part of the cave as this will stop the formation of the rock and will take ages to recreate. One has to mind the head also while walking in the tour of 45 minutes and more interesting was in between all the lights are switched off making it pitch dark and unable to see anything around. Worth watching it to see the minerals growing and rock formation. 5 stars to it.
Amazing tour. Guides were pleasant and knowledgeable. Grounds are well maintained with clean bathrooms. Picnic area was nice for our day trip lunch. Highly recommend bringing the while family.
