The rich history and the impeccable view is the shorthand description of the Constitution Island on the Hudson River in New York. The island has played the most indispensable role in the American Revolution and is revered for the same. This island is the east point of the chain that was put across the Hudson River to refrain the British from entering Albany. The history is just one of the fascinating facts of the place. The other is the distinguished views that you are able to capture on your trip to this piece of heaven. The house that has been built on this island also has its own charm and should be visited.

Constitution Island Reviews & Ratings

  • Pretty awesome piece of The United States of America right here , and a key point in its history. Across the Hudson river from The United States Military Academy at West Point New York , this is the island where the chain across the Hudson was laid out to stop the British boats from advancing up the river

  • Painted by Victor DeGrailly (1804-1889) This is a very pleasing view across the River to the foundry that grew and prospered with the Military Academy. It is also a gorgeous rendering of the atmosphere around the northernmost of the Appalachian peaks as they pass through the Hudson Valley.

  • Amazing history, great place to hike and have a day trip. The guide is awesome and so friendly.

  • If you have the time, take the ferry ride over to the Island. It's a great little piece of West Point history that often gets overlooked.
