One of the ‘must-dos’while in Ireland, Matt Molloy’s Pub maintains the raw appeal needed to provide musicians a cosy and intimate space. The pub is an initiation of the famous flutist Matt Molloy and if you are lucky you can witness him in his true glory at the pub performing with other artists.
A good pint of Guinness with some of the best live music you will hear in a long time, the pub guarantees a memory that will never fade.
They have some of the best music festivals and concerts here all year long and the place starts buzzing around 9 pm.
The highlight of the pub has to be the amazing intimate collaboration between the performing artists and the audience.

Beautiful old style pub in the wonderful town of Westport, excellent service and a choice of the best of traditional Irish music in the middle part of this deceptively large hostelry or more modern guitar based entertainment at the stage area down the back. Friendly and enthusiastic bar staff and indeed door staff make this the perfect spot for an entertaining night out.
The pub of an actual loving Irish music legend. What's not to love about it? The barstaff is friendly, there's live music, and the beer is tasty. The highlight must be the back "Yard Bar", a former yard transformed into a music stage. Definitely highly recommended!
Fantastic live music, but also very very very busy... You're better of coming here during the day when it's still light to enjoy the fantastic pub atmosphere and decor, and if you do some for music, definitely settle early for a spot. We were standing so had to just leave (in the trad sessions section), as it was very uncomfortable
Simply put. My favourite place to have a pint of Guinness that's worth a 3hour plus drive. Although the town of Westport in general has a lot to do with it too.
A must visit, traditional but super lively pub in the heart of Westport. A venture from front to back is an interesting experience.
