Ultimate Swamp Adventures Reviews & Ratings
This was a great experience. Quick drive from New Orleans (they will even pick you up and bring you). Two hours in the beautiful swamp waters. We even got to see a few alligators. Our boat captain, Capt. Dillon, was knowledgeable, friendly, and very inclusive of everyone on the boat. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.
We truly enjoyed our family trip through the swamp on the covered boat tour, and Captain Danny is a real character with lots of humor and local flair. His stories, jokes and informational notes were great. The Gators are prolific and incredible, and we saw many water birds, turtles, and even a raccoon tame enough for Danny to hand feed. The kids were enraptured and loved getting to throw a marshmallow in for the gators. (Whether marshmallows are safe for them, I question...) Everyone literally gasped when he said he'd catch a "baby" alligator! But then he never did and we weren't sure if that was just how it rolls with nature or if he should have tried again. The boat is great and fully covered, always appreciated in the sun, and anyone could tell that Danny has so much knowledge and skill, built from his youth in the swamp. Two little things make this a four-star review instead of 5. First, it was about 20 minutes short of 2 hours. Second, the captain smoked on the boat where no one could escape. Not exactly the nature experience that we were looking for!
Our group had an amazing time!! It doesn't look pretty at all but once you get out there the atmosphere is serene. The trees are beautiful. Seeing an alligator up close was amazing! Nature at its finest and trust me, I'm not the person who wants to be that close to nature. Our tour guy Mitch was comedic and was full of interesting knowledge. I could definitely do this again!
We felt very welcomed and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. This swamp is very close to the city so you wouldn't spend too much time traveling to other swamps. Saw quite a few gators and the tour guide even fed a couple of them from his hand!
Captain Dylan took us out on our Swamp adventure. We did not go on the air boat and we were grateful for that because Captain Dylan was great. He was very knowledgeable and funny! He included my son in some of the things he did which my son thought was really cool (even though he didn’t act like it). We had a great time and recommend it.
