Experience the site which had once held the apparent ‘fountain of youth’. Not to delve into the intricacies, but this place was the birthplace of a spring which was called the Fountain of Youth and therefore it came about to be its name.  Though the spring water has been closed since 1955 as it was regarded contaminated for use, the site that used to bear the spring has been well kept and maintained as a tourist attraction for the public. The place is astoundingly covered on all sides with thick wild plantations including the poison ivy, but is a delight to visit.
