Whistler Sliding Centre - Review
One of its kind, the Whistler Sliding Centre offers Olympic level sliding tracks that are both thrilling and adrenaline packed. Home to the 2010 Winter Olympics Bobsliegh and skeleton tracks, the center is state of the art and the sliding track is 1450 meter long. Visitors are encouraged to tour the state-of-the-art facility, or experience the thrill first-hand with passenger bobsleigh and skeleton rides
Located in the beautiful Fitzsimmons valley on Blackcomb Mountain the Whistler Sliding Centre is one of only fifteen international competition sliding tracks in the world. Typically, you start with a sport orientation, track etiquette, safety guidelines and a mock run before graduating to the real thing. Speeds can go up to 125 km/h for bobsleigh and 100 km/h for skeleton. The Bobsleigh is driven by a professional pilot who actively teaches national teams and thus the whole activity is quite safe.

Whistler Sliding Centre, Whistler Reviews
Advertised as 150+ km/hr, it was exciting to see the bobsleds head down the track. Easy to find and a great excursion from Whistler Village. Parking is right by the famed corner 16. Watching the bobsleighs go by just a few arms lengths away is amazing. We were able to watch a team from China practicing. The fastest bobsleigh track in North America and the world.
You have to experience riding a skeleton sled down the track at 100 km per hour. Amazing.
We loved the summer bob sled tour. A truly unique experience not to be missed.
Really fun experience and a great way to do something unique while on vacation. We got a walking tour on part of the track while our bobsled driver described how the track ice is maintained and the speeds that the racers reach. The summer bobsledding experience is on wheels and is about a 1 minute ride reaching speeds over 50 mph. Super fun!
Was incrediable to see. Seeing it on TV does not do it justice. Actually seeing it, I am even more impressed with what athletes do here. Unfortunately time I was here. Was between the summer & winters times that you can ride it yourself with a guide driving
