On the Whitney Lake, the McCown Valley Park is blessed with a stunning natural vista of the lakefront and an array of ecological activities. Under the rolling hills, this pristine area has an abundance of oak plantation favouring the habitat of Whitetail Deer and Wild Turkeys. There are Equestrian trails spanning around five miles where you can enjoy horseback riding through the meadows and the dense woods. You can go for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming and boating at the lake and enjoy capturing the Bass, Catfish and Crappie. A number of campsites are there with necessary amenities if you wish to spend time in the wilderness culture. Biking and hiking are also allowed along the trails.
