WatPhra That DoiChom Thong is a historical temple which is located in Chiang Rai. It was established in 10th century. Though it is a Buddhist temple it has a golden pagoda here where you can find many relics of Buddha. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the Kok River along with the clear view of the city as it is situated in a higher elevation. On the left hand side of WatPhra That DoiChom, it houses a sheltered viewing point where you can sit and relax. You can even enjoy the view of a small downhill forest area from here where you can witness many beautiful butterflies and baby elephants.
