Affenwald Straussberg Reviews & Ratings

  • The place is great! The animals can touch your hand or even jump on you. Amazing!

  • The big draw here is the close contact with two species of lemur, which can roam freely while you walk through their large, forested enclosure. There are signs warning against touching them, but in fact you don't have much choice, as they jump on you and play with you. All great fun. Obviously this interaction comes with a certain risk. My daughter was bitten when two groups of lemurs had an altercation. We searched for a bathroom to wash the wound and finally found one across the road after exiting the zoo.

  • This place is a great and cheap visit if you have kids, it's a mountain side forest, with a habitat for monkeys, it's not really doable with a baby stroller, but if your kid can walk they will love it, the lemurs are very tame. And will come and climb on you if you let them.
