King's Arms Tavern Reviews & Ratings
Food was excellent! Service was great and Percell (not sure of the spelling) was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We could tell he loves his job and made us feel very welcome. My wife had beef stew and salad. I had the prime rib dinner and everything that came with it. By the time we finished, we were eating by candlelight which was very nice. Our dinner did not cost much more than eating in one of the chain steakhouses and was very enjoyable.
Loved this restaurant! The food was excellent and the staff were amazing. We had the peanut soup, prime rib dinner and for dessert warm berry crumble. Dinner was by candle light and a musician came by and played a couple songs on his Spanish guitar. A suburb experience!
Decor and atmosphere were amazing. Went in the evening and the only light was from a candle on the table. The tables and table settings were from the time period (i am amusing at the least a lot older than I can ever remember seeing). The restaurant looks like an old 18th century home/tavern. The staff dressed and spoke like they were in that time period plus they were also friendly and very welcoming. The food was just avg at best and to me ridiculously over priced. I believe you are paying for the experience more than the food. The game hen was dry and came with extremely small portion of potato's. On top of that the potato's were under-cooked and not seasoned well. The desert however was delicious. The American Heritage chocolate fudge cake was unique , moist and flavorful. The chocolate in the middle of the cake had spices mixed in which the combo of chocolate and the spices made it terrific tasting. If you are looking for an experience and have some extra money to spend I recommend checking this place out and order the American Heritage chocolate fudge cake!
What an amazing restaurant with a deep rich history. The modern menu reflects the taste of the past with modern preparation and presentation. Exceptional service delivered by staff with many years of dedication behind them. Add a trip to the King's Arms Tavern on your next trip and don't forget to try the Creme of Peanut Soup, it's delicious.
Our server was fantastic. Sorta like the old days of CW. The fried chicken was below average/dry and chewy. The potato and vegetable servings were almost nonexistent. At this point if our server wasn't super, I would be hard pressed to even give it a one.
