  • Simply beautiful here. They only let a certain number of people into the well, and you have to make a reservation. This made the experience enjoyable as it wasn't crowded. We were able to swim in the hole and jump into it from the rocks overhead. The water was crisp and clear. They've kept this area very nice and mostly natural other than the path to the water.

  • What a beautifully preserved area. You do have to purchase tickets a few weeks out for weekends but it was worth it. Very cold water even in July but refreshing. We loved jumping in! Very clear water.

  • Beautiful, just beautiful place. I didn't know much about this place and while I was visiting San Antonio, six flags, it showed up on my search for places to see nearby (it was over 55 miles from my hotel in San Antonio though). First thing: water here is crystal clear, at places it is around 4-5 feet but appears like barely 1 ft deep. Ans then there is beautiful well underwater, dark green like polished jade. You need to make a reservation to swim here and there are charges you need to pay. Parking is free but swimming is charged and you are allowed to swim max two hours as per guidelines at visiting center. You will have to walk the trail (approx 1- 1.5.mile) from parking and be watchful for snakes and other animals around as it is wild area. The rocks around the water body present beautiful picture, so you can sit there or dive from there. Bring a go pro or waterproof camera if you can, trust me it will be great shots. The well is mesmerizing. The rocks are slipper so be very careful with kids and wear shoes with good grip. I saw a guy slip and fall on rock below while trying to jump from higher rock, EMC was called in to lift and take him to hospital as you can see in one of the pictures.

  • It’s summer in Texas and well that means Hot, Hot, Hot! The Texas Hill Country has some awesome swimming holes to cool off in. If you plan to visit Jacobs Well you must make a reservation and don’t forget to wear water shoes or tennis shoes. Have Fun! Off to my next adventure! 😎

  • Staff was super nice at the Nature Center and very helpful. I'm glad they use reservations so the well is a never too crowded. Very beautiful scenery! Definitely worth a visit!
