Landscape photographer H. H. Bennett, famous for revolutionising photography by inventing the stop-action camera shutter, built this Tudor Revival house for himself in 1875. His family gave it to the city in 1998, and it converted the house to how looked at the time of the photographer's death in 1908. Now, it serves as both a historical museum and as an exhibition space for photographs by Bennett. The exhibits also focus on science and technique behind the art. It's a superbly presented attraction, with mostly original artefacts. Check out the gift shop with handmade Bennett prints.
