Golden State Heritage Site Reviews & Ratings
It's a nice self guided site. There is a trail from the parking area that will take you down to where they used to mine the gold. Worth a visit.
Amazing place to walk through, seeing and experiencing the years of history preserved for all to enjoy. Especially enjoyed sitting in the the old Church, and walking inside the old schoolhouse!
Took a nice motorcycle ride out there. Grounds were well kept and park host was very informative.
This place is really amazing The buildings are in great shape and we were able to go inside the church and yes definitely some weird things and happening so if you are wanting something to do to waste time or see a real honest ghost town it is well worth it across the street in the wet lands there where turtles and babies sun bathing you can go down and follow the trails to the creek where was known for gold mining and even to this day...
Wanted to come here for a long time. Had fun with the whole family. Make sure you cross the street near the school and take the trail down to the wetlands
