You can visit Wollongong any time of the year since the weather remains fairly pleasant through all seasons. However, the winter months can be a bit chilly with average temperatures under 20 degrees and, more importantly, are not suitable for lazy days at the beach. Like all countries in the southern hemisphere, Australia's seasons are opposite to those in the northern hemisphere. Winters: Winters are generally mild but bring plenty of warm clothing if you are coming here in July.
