About Sri Venkateswara Temple, Wollongong
Located in Helensburgh near Wollongang, the Sri Venkateswara Temple is one of the most popular and impressive Hindu temples in the Southern Hemisphere that attracts visitors and Hindu devotees from all over New South Wales, and the rest of Australia. The temple is beautifully located close to the ocean. It is completely enveloped in the lush green natural beauty of this hamlet and displays traditional Indian architecture. Since Australia is one of those lands that has been inhabited by all cultures and religions, the presence of this Hindu shrine over here is an evidence of the nation’s secularity. After you pay your homage to the deity in this temple, you can also have delectable “prasadam”(sacrament) in its canteen.

Sri Venkateswara Temple, Wollongong Reviews
Temple being a scared place is very beautiful. Further there is a South Indian food canteen which operates over weekend and public holidays which is another major attraction. The food is reasonably priced and is value for money. However expect big lines anytime 11 after 11am. The food itself is decent in taste but not something you will talk about for all your life.
Nice South Indian temple. It's peaceful here. Food at the canteen is cheap and delicious. There is plenty of parking space in and around the temple.
The temple is well maintained. The location is good and the drive is scenic. Worth the visit in a weekend. Do not forget to give the canteen a shot if you are visiting during the weekend.
Quiet tranquil location and a nice drive from Sydney via Royal National park! Excellent, no profit food services, just make sure you check the timings of the temple and canteen services. One very imp. thing- if you wish to donate please use donation boxes instead of handing money to a pujari. You know what I mean.
The temple itself is such a beauty, one of a kind in Sydney region. BUT... The ladies room was disgusting. Used toilet papers are in the corner, not flushed, but collected in a heap, next to the toilet, while the wall is covered with hand printed human feces.... :((( I know, in some culture, the used toilet paper is not flushed, but this is not the place where it should be accepted.
