Located in Helensburgh near Wollongang, the Sri Venkateswara Temple is one of the most popular and impressive Hindu temples in the Southern Hemisphere that attracts visitors and Hindu devotees from all over New South Wales, and the rest of Australia. The temple is beautifully located close to the ocean. It is completely enveloped in the lush green natural beauty of this hamlet and displays traditional Indian architecture. • One of the beautiful Temple I’ve visited down under.. away from city with plenty of parking.. Surrounded by mountains.. calmness; peaceful.. Temple is built in traditional style and the priests know multiple Indian languages.. They serve delicious food on Friday, Sat and Sundays.. Love this place

  • Very good worship place after a scenic drive. Mostly patronized by South Indian devotees. Idols of multiple deities are arranged systematically in vast hall. The inner sanctum are clean and pleasing. The soft and hard landscaping around is good. Adequate parking space and a good canteen which provides hygeinically prepared South Indian snacks and normal hot and cold beverages. Great drive and good experience.

  • Do check for the last bus service if travelling by public transport. Almost got stranded. Nice temple, not as big as expected. Loved the architecture.

  • Very beautiful temple almost on top of the hilly Helensburgh. Surrounded by lush green the temple complex is well maintained. Temple is built following south Indian temple architecture. Also has very good canteen serving delicious food.

  • Peaceful and beautiful temple. Loved my visit. Must visit. 40 to 50 minutes drive from Sydney. Plenty of parkings available. Washroom facilities also available. Photography is prohibited 🚫 inside the temple.
