The Wattamolla beach is situated two kilometres south of Marley and is backed by the narrow 500 m long Wattamolla Lagoon. This lagoon is fed by Wattamolla and Coole creeks and bordered by steep valley sides, with the lagoon breaking out across the southern corner of the beach. This beach is considered to be one of the best places in Australia to swim as it remains relatively quiet under normal low wave conditions. The lagoon looks stunning with its blue waters that remain quaint and offer a beautiful oceanic sight. There is also a picnic area that is annexed to this beach where you can have multiple options to entertain yourself and your kids.

Wattamolla Beach Travel Tips

  • Use the sun-glasses while going out in the sun.
  • Although the beach is relatively quiet however children should be watched both on the beach and in the lagoon as fatalities have occurred.
  • The inner rocks of lagoon are relatively safe; however like much of the National Park the outer rocks are high, exposed and dangerous.

  • Great place for refreshment. Got lots of parking, however may not be enough on long holidays. There is walking trail which takes you to the scenic view, if you are lucky will spot some whales. No shower area, so think before getting wet in beach.

  • My favourite swimming spot. No waves, and such nice scenery and you can bring food and. Beverages and considering you're allowed to do that it's pretty clean. Just gotta get there early so you can park 😁

  • Beautiful beach, also got freshwater, got public toilet, small waves.. Suitable for kids.. But need to bring your own foods as no cafe or restaurant in here

  • A beautiful beach and waterfall. However unfortunately a victim of its popularity especially during holiday periods it gets overun with all kinds of people, the 5 car parks fill up quickly. Plus the $12 entry fee just to that area is cheeky. There are a lot better beaches to go to a little further south at no cost that aren't as busy. If you can catch it on a quiet day then beautiful, also as part of a walk from Bundeena is highly recommended!!

  • Awesome place to visit plus Bar BQ option make your day
