The Shoup Park is a great recreational spot offering basketball courts, baseball diamonds, a huge playground, swings, a separate play area for the little ones and a recreational pool. The park is clean and well-maintained with less crowd. It also offers hiking trails where you can take a stroll amidst the natural beauty of the park.

  • Great park, and they just recently renovated and they keep it clean. I love taking my kids to play and just slide and swing. They also have a huge ground where I've seen kids have soccer and baseball practice, and also have seen people play cricket as well. They have a huge pool as well which they might start as summer is coming and people also use for Birthday parties as well.

  • I grew up at this park, was on the junior league, girls softball team in the fifth grade! Granted, that was in the early 90s - since then I've enjoyed the park with my own daughter many times. I'm really impressed with the renovations, the pool especially. It's nice to find an actual deep end at a community pool! The playground is also huge and there are plenty of tables and benches for all families to share on a hot summer day (with water misters, I think?)...

  • There is no sand to get in shoes and all over the car. Play areas are padded on the ground and shaded above on some areas. There is lots of open hard surface play space for large toys with wheels ( scooters etc.). There is a separate fenced in toddler space filled with things to climb and things that they can interact with to explore and it is all shaded. My grandson loves it! My favorite part of the park since I was a child myself is the hill behind the park and the hiking paths. They have indoor basketball courts and lots of indoor things going on so the hot weather isn't such an issue. Everything is set way back from the main street since baseball fields are out at the front of the property. Some of the parking lot has tree shade during different times of the day. Bring your sunblock and water and go have fun !😍
