Worthing Museum & Art Gallery Reviews & Ratings
I have dropped in on this authentic but compact museum and art space many times over the years. Very informative on some local themes (farming, iron age flint mines, Roman life, local history and more). The changing art displays in two separate rooms are always interesting, challenging and enjoyable. It's free but I always leave a small donation. The gift shop is a gem, especially for cards and artwork and local history books. I recommend you go and take the time to absorb the information and enjoy the art.
Such a great little museum with some unique exhibits. I often take groups of students in and the staff are very accommodating and friendly
A great local museum, all the usual exhibits you'd expect. Roman remains, the town when it was first founded, plus a fixed exhibition on fashion. There was an area not open, and an art gallery upstairs which had a temporary exhibition of art entries for a local competition which had some interesting mix of local work. Worth a visit, and it's free so cheap entertainment!
Much bigger than other local museums, Worthing museum is free to get into and contains lots of information on local history, fashion through the ages, contemporary art on display, and more. The Worthing museum also has regular exhibitions, (currently there’s one on the centenary of the First World War), and holds talks and Q&A sessions with local historians. If you are in Worthing, it’s well worth a visit.
With free entry and a central location it's well worth a visit looking at the archaeological history of the area, and fashion through the ages. Well worth a visit
