Zoo Wroclaw - Afrykarium Reviews & Ratings

  • This is the best attraction inside the zoo. Above everything else it's beyond imagination. Beautifully constructed, mapped and designed. One straight path will cover all the parts. Animals are kept in areas very close their natural habitats and not just like cages. Is quite huge than expected. No doubt its worth visiting this place. Great place for kids and family. Underwater aquarium is breathtaking and you will get to see 100 and 1000s of varieties of fishes from sharks, ray fish and other salt water fishes. One of my favorite part was getting to see manatees in real life. Yeah! There were atleast 4-5 of them and huge ones and few of their small babies too. Totally recommended.

  • Absolutely fantastic place as for me. I never attended such kind of places but this Afrykarium I will remember for a good number of years and will tell my friends about such great place in Wroclaw. Beautiful and amazing types of fish here, huge territory and 2 hours it is not enough of course to see all these beautiful creatures. For 50 zloty I saw not only under water world but also a lot of animals from Zoo!!! Want to see it again!!!

  • Nice place to spent some time. Tranquil. Nice birds and hippos and naked rat mole.

  • This is such a great zoo. The main focus seems to be around aquatic life which is a really fun change from the typical zoo. The terrarium had the largest display of turtles that we have ever seen!! As for the Afrykarium, this was something that as to be experienced to believe. It is gigantic!!! The water tunnel under the sharks and rays was one of the best experience by far....this was mesmerizing!!! As we visited in February the temperatures are freezing so many of the animals are not on display for their safety but we still spent 5 hours here comfortable and did not feel like we missed out in any way. A lot of attention is placed on conservation and awareness of recycling too in fun and Interactive ways, including the recycled plastic penguins (see photo). The entry ticket was reasonably priced as was the food which actually tasted great. There was care and effort put into the food served, which is unusual for such a busy attraction. I can not recommend this zoo enough if you are visiting Wroclaw.

  • I've never seen such plants-like in the jungle. Although I've almost fainted, it was worthy.
