Also known as ‘Meiling’ was Mao Zedong's Summer residence and his favourite one too. He called it ‘Home of the White Clouds and Yellow Cranes’ and enjoyed the resplendent ambience and calmness it offered. Surrounded by beautiful pines, bamboo trees and plums which were also his favourite the villa creates an irresistible atmosphere. Comprised of three buildings, the first one was Mao’s private residence. It is here he entertained a lot of foreign guests.

The rooms still maintains the same décor as of his time. Building two is the assembly hall where important meetings were held. And finally building three is where Mao’s private swimming pools are there. The buildings are interesting to watch and read the history with which they were involved regarding one of the most powerful figures not only in China but in the world.
