Oishi Park, Yamanashi Reviews
Lovely views of Mount Fuji, pretty flower gardens to walk around. There were several bands performing live music when we visited in July, a few food carts, all very relaxing. Best of all, no entrance fee and free parking too.
Nice park and gardens with great views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. There are loads of beautiful plants and flowers here too but it is usually very crowded with tourists. Good luck getting a shot of Mt. Fuji and the lake with no people getting in the way. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
Beautiful park. Went in the summer. Lavender everywhere. Some great souvenirs and lavender flavored icecream.
The red line bus will be your best friend for getting here and to the small towns surrounding the lake. Please be aware, busses stop in the early evening, and for the time leading up to this will be completely full, so have a backup plan or plan to leave early to avoid getting stranded. The walk around the garden should take you about 1.5hrs, depending on how often you stop to take in the scenery. This is a great place to get some shots of Mt Fuji.
Actually I came at dusk just to quickly check it out to kill an hour or two and I got a really nice surprise. The sun was setting beyond Mt Fuji and close by the moon was rising. The was just enough light to enjoy the flowers and take photos and I decided to hang around and time the moon with Fuji and a few reds from the sun...I got lucky.
