Kandawgyi Park is one of the most beautiful lakes of Yangon that looks tranquil and mesmerizing with its transparent waters. In fact, the golden pagodas and silver moonlight finds reflection in it making it one of the most visited lakes in Burma. The Government of the Union of Myanmar built a royal barge in the form of Karaweik (mythical bird) in 1972. It is considered that in ancient times, the barges used to flow in this lake and became a part of royal parades. Do visit this lake to spend some leisure time near it.
