Events and Festivals in Yellowknife
- Caribou Carnival: Held in the months of March or April, this festival traditionally got together local trappers who would participate in local events in the hopes of being a champion. Today’s Caribou Carnival has evolved into music concerts, dance performances, fireworks, entertainment, stalls with food and crafts, traditional northern games such as snow tennis and snow bowling, and ice sculpting competitions.
