The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is a primary geologic feature in the Canyon District. Spread across a vast area, the canyon is approximately 20 miles long. The canyon you see today is not very old. It is around 10,000 to 14,000 years old. However, research has shown that there probably used to be another canyon in this location for a much longer period. There are many hiking trails around the canyon, some lead to the Upper and Lower Falls of Yellowstone while some lead to the Yellowstone River.

Grand Canyon Of Yellowstone Reviews & Ratings
This is a very pretty canyon. The falls are not the only thing that make it, though they seem to be the main attraction. This area is cool in the fact that it's so impressive in a park that is know more for it's geothermal activity. Yellowstone has so much to offer.
Really amazing place. This canyon is deep and sharp. Grand canyon is too wide. From here you can see Lower waterfalls either from North Rim or South Rim. Whichever angle looks amazing. It's pity that not all the trails are open due to snow when I was there
Very awesome Canyon hike. You can basically make the hike as long or as short as you like. It gets crowded at the easy to access places but hiking an extra mile or so from a parking lot you can find better overlooks.
Way to busy at first but after the people cleared away the sight was definitely something to look forward too, nice hike off to the right of the entrance aswell.
I must admit that I have not been to THE Grand Canyon, or very many national parks in general, but this was the most awe inspiring natural occurrence I have ever seen. The "Grand View" is good, but if you want the truly phenomenal view, take the path just beyond the Grand view that wraps around the canyon. Be careful though, as there is no guardrail.
