Shevaroy Temple, Yercaud Reviews
Visit at least one time. Feel the great feeling of God. mountain Temple built-in cave route from Tamilnadu Yercaud mountain to Karnataka.
Its a cave temple as old as 2000 years. The Shevaroy temple is situated on highest point of the Shevaroy hills in Yercaud and is mainly dedicated to Lord Shevaroyan. The temple is built out of a narrow black rock cave. The idols of Lord Shevaroyan and Goddess Kaveri are placed inside it. They are covered with Gold. The native tribals come in hundreds and celebrate their annual festival in the premises of this temple during the month of May every year. The panoramic view from the Shevaroy temple area is marvelous. A good view of Yercaud town and Nagalur can be seen from this hill. There is a huge tree outside the cave of the temple and is believed to be more than 500 years old by the locals. Must visit place. To be mentioned is that the road that takes you up to the temple is great to ride on!
Its a small cave temple on top of shevaroy hills with big lawn space available nearby. There was giant wheel, Columbus ride, horse ride, ATV ride available for time pass. The local shops here sell goat leg potato (veg) and soup made out of it. Looks like its good cure for lungs cough and joint pains. There are some nice view points as well.
One of the best place in Yercaud! Visit at 5-6 pm in evening for the coolest experience!
